Week 17: Picture/GIF Recap BUF vs NYJ

The Buffalo Bills beat the New York Jets 22 - 17 on Sunday in the season finale for both teams knocking the Jets out of playoff contention. Similar to the last time they met Buffalo out performed the Jets for a majority of the game but still allowed them to keep it close enough to make you sweat the whole way through.
The Bills dominated time of possession 39:13 to 20:47. With key injuries to their RB's coming into the game and during it, they just weren't able to capitalize as much as they should have off of that time of possession.
Sammy Watkins was able to beat Darelle Revis all day long and finished with 11 receptions for 136 yards. He was an absolute beast over the second half of the season and finished with over 1,000 yards total for the year. I cannot wait to see what him and Tyrod can do together if they can both stay healthy for an entire season. Hopefully they can build upon the chemistry that they found this year.
Tyrod Taylor continued to emerge as a leader when at one point late in the game he grabbed Jordan Mills before he could get a penalty after the play and yelled at him to get back into the huddle. He did not have gaudy statistics but he did not make a big turnover as usual and was able to use his feet to extend many plays and drives.
Ryan Fitzpatrick looked exactly like the quarterback that Bills fans remember. He didn't have a good game but he made enough plays to rally the Jets within two points of the Bills before throwing three critical interceptions which would ultimately seal the game in Buffalo's favor.
The Bills finished the season a mediocre 8-8 especially considering the talent on the roster. At times this year they have looked like a a potential playoff team while at others looking more like a CFL team (E.J. vs Jacksonville). Hopefully since they are committed to the same GM, Head Coach, and QB for next year they can build off this momentum and use that to rally this team to it's first playoff berth in over 16 years.
